Cloud &Infrastructure
Cloud in Saudi Arabia is not a lift-and-shift question — it is a sovereignty, classification, and regulation question. We design cloud estates that satisfy the CST's cloud regulations and your data-classification obligations, then run the migration without breaking the business.
Sovereign by design
The Kingdom's cloud rules are specific: workloads are classified, and higher classifications carry in-Kingdom residency obligations under the CST's Cloud Computing Service Provisioning Regulations. We architect for this from day one — mapping every workload to a classification, a region, and a compliance posture before a single VM moves. With AWS and Microsoft both bringing Saudi regions online, we design landing zones that are ready to adopt them the day they open.
Migration as an engineering program
Every estate gets a migrate / modernize / retire decision per workload, a dependency map, and a cutover plan with rehearsed rollbacks. Landing zones are built as code — identity, networking, guardrails, logging — so environments are reproducible and auditable. We have moved estates of forty-plus production workloads with zero unplanned downtime.
After the migration: platform engineering
The cloud pays off when your teams ship faster on it. We build internal platforms on Kubernetes — golden paths, self-service environments, GitOps pipelines — and put FinOps discipline in place so the bill trends down as usage goes up. Typical estates see 30–45% infrastructure savings against their pre-migration baseline.
Questions we hear
Asked before every cloud & infrastructure engagement.
Which clouds do you work with?
AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, and the in-Kingdom providers — including STC Cloud and other CST-licensed local platforms — plus hybrid estates that keep classified workloads on-premises.
Our data cannot leave the Kingdom. Can we still use cloud?
Usually yes. Classification determines what must stay in-Kingdom; we routinely design split estates where regulated data stays on Saudi soil while burst and development workloads use regional clouds.
Do you run the estate after migrating it?
If you want us to — our Managed Hosting & Operations practice takes over under SLA, or we hand over to your team with runbooks and training.
