Rihal — Sovereign Cloud Migration

Forty production workloads moved from end-of-life hardware to an in-Kingdom cloud region — then run under a 99.9% SLA with rehearsed disaster recovery.

The challenge

Forty workloads sat on end-of-life hardware in a colocation cage: no autoscaling for traffic spikes around major events, backups that had never been restore-tested, and content archives subject to new residency expectations.

The group had no cloud team and no appetite to build one mid-migration.

What we built

We mapped every workload to a migrate, modernize, or retire path, built landing zones in a CST-licensed in-Kingdom cloud region with infrastructure-as-code, and containerized the publishing stack.

Our operations center took over the estate under SLA at cutover — monitoring, patching, and quarterly disaster-recovery drills with timed restores.
