Souq Al Dar — Retail Replatform
Headless, Arabic-first commerce for a 60-branch chain — 300k SKUs, mada and BNPL at checkout, engineered for Ramadan peak.
A 60-branch Saudi retail chain · 7-month engagement
The challenge
The chain's aging storefront collapsed under Ramadan traffic, checkout abandonment ran past 70%, and the Arabic experience was a mirrored afterthought of an English template.
Store inventory and online inventory disagreed constantly, breaking click-and-collect promises.
What we built
We rebuilt commerce as a headless storefront designed RTL-first, with mada, Apple Pay, and Tabby at checkout and real-time stock sync from all sixty branches.
Edge caching tuned for KSA mobile networks brought median load under two seconds, and the platform was load-tested against three times the previous Ramadan peak before launch.
“Our Ramadan peak used to be a war room. This year it was a dashboard. The replatform paid for itself inside two quarters.”
